Hello. My name
is Kathryn (Katie) Kuntz. I am a former CAAHEP Accredited Sonography Program
Director and the founder of SEAC, Inc. In 2009, I retired as a full-time
Program Director and Assistant 
Professor of Radiology at the Mayo
Clinic in Rochester, MN. In addition to my career as a sonographer and educator,
I have been very involved in the JRC-DMS/CAAHEP accreditation process having
served for many years on the Board of Directors for the Joint Review Committee
on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS). I am also a former
JRC-DMS site visitor and a regular speaker at the Society of Diagnostic Medical
Sonography (SDMS) Annual Conference Educator’s Tutorial lecturing on topics
related to education and accreditation.
I formed SEAC,
Inc. to offer consulting services to Sonography Programs who are seeking to
understand the education standards and documentation necessary to develop and
maintain a high quality Sonography Education program. If you or your program
aspires to these high standards, SEAC, Inc. may be able to help you to "get it
right" the first time and assist you in understanding the many features of the
accreditation process.
